GWU has Candlelight Prayer Vigil for pandemic
Gardner-Webb University held a community prayer vigil for the COVID-19 pandemic. GWU President Dr. William Downs opened the prayer vigil and announced that GWU would nightly light candles in the windows of the Dover Chapel facing Main Street and will burn continually until the pandemic crisis is over.
Joing Dr. Downs in the vigil were Dr. Eric Davis, Pastor of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church; Rev. Keith McKinney, Pastor of Boiling Springs Baptist Church; Dr. Tracy Jessup, GWU Vice President for Christian Life and Service; and Rev. Wade Wallace, pastor of Green Bethel Baptist Church.
